About the Program

The Public Law doctoral program is designed specifically for lawyers who have completed a master's degree in public law. It aims to train future faculty members who can identify the legal framework governing actions involving the exercise of state authority and apply the principles and rules limiting public power under the legal system. Participating lawyers are expected to adopt a perspective that fosters lawyers committed to individual freedoms, particularly the protection of fundamental rights and freedoms within the national legal system. The program offers a broad range of specialist courses in constitutional law, administrative law, general public law, human rights law, tax law and, in particular, criminal law.

Program: Public Law doctoral students must complete seven courses, one seminar course, a qualifying examination, a thesis proposal and one thesis.
