Senate Decision dated 23.08.2024;
In accordance with Articles 31 and 39 of the Altınbaş University Regulation on Graduate Education and Training, students enrolled in thesis-based master’s and doctoral programs within the Graduate School must fulfill the following publication requirements in order to graduate:
A. In the Field of Social Sciences:
– Publication Requirement for Thesis-Based Master’s Programs:
Presented (either as a poster or oral presentation) at a national or international peer-reviewed scientific conference, congress, or symposium, and published or officially accepted for publication in the abstract or full-text proceedings.
OR
Published or accepted for publication in a national or international peer-reviewed journal or in the University’s AURUM Journal of Social Sciences.
– Publication Requirement for Doctoral Programs:
The student must have:
At least one paper presented (either as a poster or oral presentation) at a national or international peer-reviewed scientific conference, congress, or symposium, and published or officially accepted for publication in the abstract or full-text proceedings,
AND
At least one article published or accepted for publication in a national or international peer-reviewed journal indexed in SCI, SCI-Expanded, SSCI, ESCI, AHCI, TR Index, or another field index recognized by the Interuniversity Board (ÜAK), or in the University’s AURUM Journal of Social Sciences.
The journal must not be listed on the Beall’s List of Predatory Journals and Publishers (https://beallslist.net/).
OR
At least one book or book chapter published by a national or international publisher active for a minimum of 2 years, directly related to the student’s field of study.
B. In the Field of Health Sciences:
– Publication Requirement for Thesis-Based Master’s Programs:
The student must meet one of the following:
At least one presentation delivered at a national or international peer-reviewed scientific meeting, with the abstract published in the conference proceedings.
OR
At least one article published or accepted for publication in a national or international peer-reviewed journal or in the University’s AURUM Journal of Health Sciences.
– Publication Requirement for Doctoral Programs:
The student must fulfill one of the following:
At least one publication related to the dissertation published or accepted for publication in an international peer-reviewed journal or in the AURUM Journal of Health Sciences.
OR
At least two presentations, one of which must be at an international peer-reviewed scientific meeting, with abstracts published in the proceedings.
C. In the Field of Science and Engineering:
– Publication Requirement for Thesis-Based Master’s Programs in Engineering:
Students must, in collaboration with their thesis advisor, fulfill one of the following publication criteria based on the thesis study:
Submit at least one article to a journal indexed in SCI, SCIE, ESCI, ULAKBİM TR Index, Scopus, or the University’s AURUM Journal of Engineering Systems and Architecture.
OR
Present a paper at a national/international peer-reviewed conference.
OR
Apply for a national/international patent.
– Publication Requirement for Thesis-Based Master’s Programs in Architecture:
Students must, in collaboration with their thesis advisor, fulfill one of the following publication criteria based on the thesis study:
Submit at least one article to journals indexed in SCI, SCIE, SSCI, AHCI, ULAKBİM TR Index, Scopus, or the University’s AURUM Journal of Engineering Systems and Architecture, or in one of the field indexes* listed below.
OR
Present a paper at a national/international peer-reviewed conference.
OR
Apply for a national/international patent.
– Publication Requirement for Doctoral Programs in Engineering:
Students must, in collaboration with their thesis advisor, fulfill the following:
Submit at least one article, based on their dissertation, to a journal indexed in SCI or SCIE and obtain an official acceptance letter,
AND
Present at least one paper related to their dissertation at an international peer-reviewed conference,
OR
Obtain registration for a national/international patent,
OR
Publish or receive acceptance for an article in the AURUM Journal of Engineering Systems and Architecture.
– Publication Requirement for Doctoral Programs in Architecture:
Students must, in collaboration with their thesis advisor, fulfill the following:
Submit at least one article, based on their dissertation, to a journal indexed in SCI, SCIE, SSCI, AHCI, or one of the field indexes* listed below, and receive an acceptance letter,
AND
Present at least one paper related to their dissertation at an international conference,
OR
Publish or receive acceptance for an article in the AURUM Journal of Engineering Systems and Architecture.
