29.03.2022 Senate Decision;
For graduation from thesis-based master’s and Ph.D. programs conducted within Altınbaş University Graduate Education Institute, the following publication requirements must be met according to Articles 10 and 23 of the Altınbaş University Graduate Education and Training Regulation for students enrolled in the Fall Semester of 2022/2023 and thereafter:
In the Social Sciences field: –
A. Master’s Program Graduation Publication Requirement: During the master’s education, having at least one paper presented orally or in poster format at a national or international peer-reviewed scientific conference, congress, or symposium, and published or accepted for publication in abstract or full-text form in a conference proceedings or booklet, or having at least one article published or accepted for publication in a national or international peer-reviewed journal or in Altınbaş University AURUM Social Sciences Journal with a maximum of three authors –
B. phD Program Graduation Publication Requirement: During the doctoral education, having at least one paper presented orally or in poster format at a national or international peer-reviewed scientific conference, congress, or symposium, and published or accepted for publication in abstract or full-text form in a conference proceedings or booklet, and not being listed on the “List of Predatory Journals and Publishers” (Beall’s List of Predatory Journals and Publishers https://beallslist.net/), or having at least one article published or accepted for publication in a national or international peer-reviewed journal listed in SCI, SCI-Expanded, SSCI, ESCI, AHCI, TR Dizin, or accepted by the National Academic Network and Information Center (ÜAK), or having at least one book or book chapter with a maximum of two authors published by a national or international publishing house active for at least 2 years.
In the Health Sciences field: –
A. Master’s Program Graduation Publication Requirement: During the master’s education, presenting at least one paper at a peer-reviewed international/national scientific meeting with the abstract published in a proceedings book, or having at least one article published or accepted for publication in a national or international peer-reviewed journal or in Altınbaş University AURUM Journal of Health Sciences with a maximum of three authors –
B. phD Program Graduation Publication Requirement: During the doctoral education, publishing or having accepted for publication at least two papers with a maximum of two authors in international peer-reviewed journals or in Altınbaş University Aurum Journal of Health Sciences, or presenting at least two papers at peer-reviewed international scientific conferences with the abstracts published in a proceedings book.
In the Engineering and Architecture field: –
A. Engineering Master’s Program Graduation Publication Requirement: For master’s program students, preparing at least one paper with a maximum of three authors and submitting it for publication to Science Citation Index (SCI), Science Citation Index-Expanded (SCIE), Emerging Science Citation Index (ESCI), ULAKBİM TR Dizin, Scopus, or AURUM (Engineering Systems and Architecture) journal, or preparing a paper and presenting it at a national/international peer-reviewed conference, or having filed a national/international patent application.
B. Architecture Master’s Program Graduation Publication Requirement: For master’s program students, preparing at least one paper with a maximum of three authors and submitting it for publication to Science Citation Index (SCI), Science Citation Index-Expanded (SCIE), Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI), Art and Humanities Citation Index (A&HCI), ULAKBİM TR Dizin, Scopus, or AURUM (Engineering Systems and Architecture) journal, or preparing a paper and presenting it at a national/international peer-reviewed conference, or having filed a national/international patent application.
C. Engineering phD Program Graduation Publication Requirement: For doctoral program students, preparing at least one paper with a maximum of two authors and submitting it for publication to Science Citation Index (SCI), Science Citation Index-Expanded (SCIE) indexed journals, receiving an acceptance letter, and additionally presenting at least one international peer-reviewed conference paper related to the doctoral thesis topic, or having a national/international patent application registered, or having a paper published or accepted for publication in Altınbaş University AURUM (Engineering Systems and Architecture) journal.
D. Architecture phD Program Graduation Publication Requirement: For doctoral program students, preparing at least one paper with a maximum of two authors and submitting it for publication to Science Citation Index (SCI), Science Citation Index-Expanded (SCIE), Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI), Art and Humanities Citation Index (A&HCI), or AURUM (Engineering Systems and Architecture) journals, receiving an acceptance letter, and additionally presenting at least one international conference paper with the abstract published in a proceedings book related to the doctoral thesis topic.
