1. A successful student who has completed at least one semester in another department within the university or in a graduate program of another higher education institution can apply for a lateral transfer to graduate programs within the specified application period in the academic calendar.

  2. Upon the student’s submission of necessary documents within the application period (e.g., transcript, ALES score, GPA, language proficiency certificate), the Department Chairmanship determines which of the course obligations in the accepted program will be exempted, how much time will be granted, and approves the Equivalence Form (LEE G 03 Course Equivalence Form) after completion.

  3. The Equivalence Form is submitted to the Institute through the Electronic Document Management System (EBYS) along with the decision.

  4. Upon the approval of lateral transfer by the Institute Board of Directors, the student’s program alignment is decided.

  5. A student admitted to the doctoral program with an undergraduate degree submits a petition to the Department Chairmanship to switch to the master’s program.

  6. Upon approval of the transfer by the Department Chairmanship, the Equivalence Form (LEE G 03 Course Equivalence Form) is prepared and sent to the Institute through EBYS, along with the decision.

  7. Upon the approval of lateral transfer by the Institute Board of Directors, the student’s program alignment is decided.
