PERIODONTOLOGY PhD PROGRAM
The program, besides the periodontology branch; oral implantology, pharmacology, anatomy, microbiology, pathology, etc. includes branches of science. The student who graduates from this program approaches the science of periodontology and oral implantology with a holistic perspective and identifies the health and disease conditions of the tissues around the teeth and implants, applies the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and the maintenance of health and preventive approaches with advanced competence. Students’ communication skills develop. They are prone to teamwork. Individuals who develop leadership skills know their moral and ethical responsibilities towards society and their patients. Adopts professional behavior. He establishes an active, interactive and empathetic relationship with his patients. Understands the importance of patient compliance in the long-term success of the treatments applied. Have the ability to share professional information verbally and in writing with the patient and, when necessary, with physicians from different disciplines. Have comprehensive and detailed information about general and periodontology related to the basic sciences of dentistry. Have the ability to apply clinical practices related to periodontology and implantology. They meet the individual expectations of the patient by making the diagnosis and treatment plan comprehensively. Prepares, presents and discusses the treatments of his patients as cases. Have analytical skills to form, manage, conclude and discuss research hypotheses on different topics related to periodontology. Have the ability to transfer the skills acquired in research methodology to different environments. Our main goal is to gain authority and competence in advanced periodontology and implant surgery; but this aim must be accompanied by the development of clinical and basic research skills, critical thinking, excellence and consideration of detail.
Training Place: Bakırköy Health Campus.
Training Hours: It takes place between 9.00 – 17.00 on weekdays.
Language of Instruction: Periodontology PhD Program is offered in English.
Program: Periodontology PhD Program; consists of the doctoral course phase, the doctoral qualifying examination and the doctoral thesis phase.
