Dear Students,
As a result of the developments in the field of informatics, the existence of digital values, which we define as data, shape our future by changing and transforming it in an uncontrollable way. By definition; We can call the whole of raw information obtained from past to present as data. Almost everyone who puts information at the center of their lives knows how important data is. While obtaining data is a difficult process, processing it is at least as difficult. However, in order to process the data, it must first be analyzed well. In fact, defining data is not as difficult as collecting and processing it. In this context, it is necessary to distinguish between data and information. Therefore, processed and structured data is defined as information. As the concept of informatics has become an important part of our lives in recent years, obtaining data has become easier compared to the past, but the real difficulty arises when processing the data. Therefore, the process required to access “information” can be achieved while processing data using complex analysis methods.
Above, we talked about the problems that may be encountered, from obtaining information to processing it. We stated that processing and analyzing information is what makes the data meaningful. In this context, as the Department of Data Analytics, we propose a lesson plan that is decorated with current topics and compatible with the dynamism of data analytics in order to position our students at the most important place in the information age.
We call on our students for an education focused on problem solving and project production, with the contributions of our qualified and international faculty members. We recommend that they meet with advisors who will make them aware of their equipment to reveal their talents.
