Dear Students,
Civil engineering is one of the oldest and most fundamental engineering branches. Undergraduate civil engineers work in the design and implementation of various structures in a wide range of areas such as buildings, bridges, tunnels, highways, railways, airports, dams, ports and power plants. It is impossible to specialize in all of these areas, each of which is a separate area of expertise, with undergraduate education.
Today; In solving engineering problems, solutions based on the classical approaches of the past are no longer accepted, instead; Solutions are sought that take into account criteria such as sustainability, environmental harmony, occupational safety and health, and make the use of more technology and innovation mandatory. As a result of rapid population growth, urbanization and increased industrial activities, there will be a need for structures in different areas that will meet today’s needs, and for expert civil engineers with in-depth knowledge in the field who can project and implement these structures, today and in the future.
Civil Engineering Master’s Programs were opened as two separate programs: with thesis and without thesis. The language of education is English.
In the program; It is recommended that courses be opened in the basic research areas of structural engineering, taking into account the areas of expertise of experienced faculty members. It is planned to add other fields of civil engineering to the program.
