Periodontology PhD Program is an international program that lasts 4 years and the program language is English. This program aims to provide students with the necessary skills to interpret, analyze and reach new syntheses with a deep perspective on the science of periodontology.
This program includes not only the department of periodontology, but also oral implantology, pharmacology, anatomy, microbiology, histology, immunology, biostatistics and pathology, etc. Includes branches of science. The student graduating from this program approaches the science of periodontology and oral implantology with a holistic perspective and determines the health and disease conditions of the tissues around the teeth and implants, diagnoses and treats diseases, and applies preventive approaches to maintain the achieved health with advanced competence. Students’ communication skills improve. They are prone to teamwork. Individuals with improved leadership skills know their moral and ethical responsibilities towards society and their patients. Adopts professional behavior. Establishes effective, interactive and empathetic relationships with patients. Understands the importance of patient compliance in the long-term success of the treatments applied. Has the ability to share professional knowledge verbally and in writing with patients and, when necessary, with physicians from different disciplines. Have comprehensive and detailed knowledge of the basic sciences of dentistry and periodontology, and have the ability to apply clinical practices related to periodontology and implantology. They meet the individual expectations of the patient by making a comprehensive diagnosis and treatment plan. Prepares, presents and discusses the treatments of his patients as cases. Possesses analytical skills to create, manage, conclude and discuss research hypotheses on different subjects related to the science of periodontology. Have the ability to transfer the skills gained in research methodology to different environments. Acquiring competence and proficiency in advanced periodontology and implant surgery is our main goal, but this goal must be accompanied by the development of clinical and basic research skills, critical thinking, excellence and appreciation of detail. Individuals who graduate from this program can work in academia or work as a clinician in the public or private sector. Periodontology Master’s Program (Turkish/With Thesis)
Periodontology Master’s Program is a 2-year program and the program language is Turkish. Periodontology Master’s program includes periodontology, oral implantology, pharmacology, anatomy, microbiology, histology, pathology, immunology and statistics, etc. It also includes branches of science. The student who graduates from this program will have the theoretical knowledge and clinical experience to perform periodontology and oral implantology practices at the expert level.
It detects the health and disease conditions of the tissues around the teeth and implants, treats them, ensures the maintenance of the achieved health and applies preventive approaches at an expert level.
The student who graduates from this program will be a researcher, analytical, problem solver, have strong communication skills and are prone to teamwork. By understanding the practice of dentistry more comprehensively, the student will have up-to-date and modern knowledge about periodontology and oral implantology. Knows his moral and ethical responsibilities towards society and his patients.

Periodontology Master’s Program (English/Non-Thesis)
Clinical Periodontology Master’s Program is an international program that lasts 2.5 years and the program language is English. The first year of this program is the scientific preparation year. In the second year, students take courses and prepare papers in their final semester. Dentists participating in this program perform expert-level clinical practice in the branches of periodontology and implantology. It examines current research in the light of evidence-based information and adopts the philosophy of continuing education. Having comprehensive knowledge in the field of periodontology and oral implantology, he examines and diagnoses his patients. Makes a treatment plan taking into account the patient’s expectations and needs. Performs all applications related to non-surgical and surgical periodontal treatment. It treats basic cases in oral implantology. Thus, dentists who graduate from the program can effectively respond to the individual needs of their patients and communities.
